See Orange County from the Sky 

You can take a ride in a huge balloon in at Orange County Great Park. You can get the ride every Thursday to Sunday. The balloon is 72 feet in diameter and it rises 400 feet above ground. If you are not afraid of height, it is a must-do activity for you. 

Pretend City Children’s Museum    

Founded in 1997, this museum has been set up as a city for children, where they can have learning experiences while enjoying themselves. The city is interconnected and it contains things like a farm, a café, a fire station, a theater, a post office, etc. There is also an ‘Imagination playground.’ In this museum, children can learn through role playing, educational programs, and so on.     

Irvine Spectrum Center 

This is a destination for shopping lovers. It has 100 boutique shops, various dining options, a cinema, and a spa. There is also a Giant Wheel of 108 feet. You can take a ride on the wheel.

The Irvine Museum 

It is a fine arts museum. This museum features rotating exhibits of works by painters from American Impressionist period who painted scenes of California. It is open from Tuesday through Saturday. It also offers a docent-led tour on Thursday. 

Botanical Gardens at UCI Arboretum    

This 12.5 acres arboretum features plants native to the California Floristic Province and South Africa. It is open to the public from Tuesday to Saturday and there is no entrance fee.  

K1 Speed Irvine 

It is a large indoor go-kart racing center. There are two professionally designed race tracks. It is suitable for all ages and skill levels. There is also a collection of racing related art and memorabilia. 

Buccaneer Cove 

This water play area is split over five levels. Each of these levels contains water slides, loops, tunnels, and splash buckets. There are different types of slides for different age groups. 

San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary

This 300 acre fresh water marsh is located on Riparian View. It has a series of ponds and more than 11 miles of natural trails. This sanctuary shelters a wide range of bird and various other animals. It also includes an observation area, a boardwalk, and the Audubon house, which is also known as the Duck Club.
